The Air Force Combat Readiness Medal Ribbon is awarded for qualifying service in a combat or mission-ready status for direct weapon system engagement.
To receive the award, the service member must be part of a unit subject to combat readiness, have completed all prerequisite training, and be certified as combat or mission-ready in performing the unit’s missions.
