The Kuwait Liberation Ribbon is awarded to service members who served in support of Operation Desert Shield or Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Gulf of Oman, or the Gulf of Aden, as well as the total land areas of Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Qatar, or Oman Service. Service must have taken place between August 2, 1990 and August 31, 1993.
